"Project Unite" is a new program that was established in 2004. "Project Unite" consists of Ross County victim assistance providers and volunteers. This project was established to unite victim assistance providers in Ross County so that victims of crime can be better served. The Ross County Victim/Witness Assistance Program provides services to victims of various crimes and assists with compensation programs throughout the Ohio Attorney General's Office. The Ross County Coalition against Domestic Violence assists battered women and children. The Ross County Coalition against Domestic Violence is a 24 hour facility. The Ross County Coalition against Domestic Violence also assists with Civil Protection Orders. The Ross County Job and Family Services assists victims of crime who have needs such as child abuse, adult protective services, transportation, child care, living expenses, etc. The Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center offers the 2-1-1 system and the 24 hour Crisis Line. The local Red Cross Chapter provides assistance to victims of Arson. All victims assistance providers ensure that victims are aware of Victims Rights. |
